S-class

Well, since I'm not getting any replies in the Misson Designers' Forum, I thought I might try posting it here:

I downloaded the S-class submarine from Sergbuto's page here:

After I installed it using JSGME, I decided to create a mission with it just to test if it works before I load up my career. When I validated the mission, nothing was wrong. However, when the mission loading bar was full, the screen went blank and an error message appeared, prompting to close SH3. I made sure that the mission folder had the same name as the .mis file.

What's wrong? Is the S-class known to have some flaws?
I also copied the media.cfg file from another mission folder into this folder but I can't seem to get it to work. I've also selected the exact version of the submarine I made player-controlled in the mission editor (in this case a 1940 VIIC).

:hmm: try this
Go into the S class folder and delete the cam file

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Submarine\NSS_S classUS

Well when I first added the S class many moons ago the game would always CTD when near one
Serg suggested removing the cam file and all was ok

Well I deleted the cam file and tried loading it up again, it still doesn't work...

The sub showed well in the Museum so I guess it should work in both single msisions and career...

Stock SH3 with the Harbour Traffic Mod (v1.47) my internet is too slow to DL GWX

. And of course a bunch of other mods that only affect visuals and textures.

I'm not sure what you mean by cloning, but I did copy the files into the British submarine roster folder I think...

Strange, I use this Sub for 6 months on missions Multiplayers in France without any problem on a version of Rub1.45 improved with Uboat War Ace. Never of CTD !

Thanks guys for all your help! I loaded another single mission and my career and the same crash occurred, it could be that an important file got deleted when I removed other ship models that I downloaded.... the S-class might not be the culprit afterall.

Gonna start another thread to address this issue.
