I just recently bought aces of the deep but it didn't come with a manual, i was wondering then how do you display the kreigsmarine grid squares on the map in order to find out where you r going, also how do you change the tdc settings on the tdc screen?

Sorry friend, the grid squares aren't available on game's navigation map; the original box had a real paper map, really well done on my point of wiew.
Somewhere should be available some download files to print it; give me your mail, and maybe I could send you my copy (after some search in my old files). When you become more familiar with the grid system, it's quite easy to make everything without reading maps, as grid references appear when plotting course. In AOD the TDC is fully automated, just more precise the more you spot your target. Simply use the bar to shift some degrees right or left the settings; as rule of thumb, for most of fastest targets, some degrees more (depending on speed and distance) in front of their bow are required to have an hit. |

In CAOD, if you left click on the strategic map it will show not only the latitude and longitude but the grid location as well. This won't work on the zoomed-in tactical map view. This is enough for most purposes when going between patrol areas but
a real map is best. Christopher |

Perhaps this is useful?
http://www.dataphone.se/~ms/aod/ There's also a scanned CAOD manual in pdf on some site. |
