GWX enemy AI
Hi I was just wondering if the GWX enemy AI is much much better at detecting you because lol iv just installed GWX and i cant seem to get away from them..
no matter what as soon as an enemy warship is in visual contact my sound meter goes red, i dive to maximum depth and run in silent mode and turn engines off etc the enemy is a few km away and it still stays red , lol - what gives?? |

Did you install the Dec 23rd update also ?
Look in the main GWX thread You need to go to 2 kts or under to get away At 3 kts you are still making enough noise to be heard Part of the Dec 23rd update is to drop your silent running speed to 2kts I wouldnt know about it staying red as dont use the stealth meter If they are not DC ing you then your are not located |

I was shadowing a convoy, and sent a radio msg back to BdU. A few minutes later, a flower corvette that I had observed moving away from me turned 180 and came straight down on my bearing at full speed allthough I was rigged for silent running. Huffduff or HF/DF reiceivers were not available by the allies before April/December 1941. Is this a hardcoded issue, or can you guys at GWX do something about that ? Yes I have installed the Dec 23 update.

Well to send a radio report you must have been surfaced
You dont mention the weather or time of day or indeed the distance of the Corvette from yourself so hard to pinpoint without that info |

BBW I was wondering if it would be possible to have a routine in the game that allows us to be picked up by the Allied ships when we're using the radio, and also to pick up their radio signals (e.g. radio signals from merchants when we attack them). I don't know if it is totally unrealistic what I'm suggesting, so if you feel it cannot (or it's too much trouble to bother with it) be done just smile and ignore me

I dont think its possible to make mercs send radio signals Even then the message would be picked up by Bdu not your boat You would get the message from them hence map contacts ![]() |
