I think I may have made a mistake during my installation of GWX and SHC, a mistake that leads to this:
![]() (The harbor names are covered up with other lables) I'll try to retrace my installation as precise as I can: 1) fresh install of SH3 2) patched it to 1.4 3) Installed GWX 4) Installed the hotfix for German Keyboards 5) Ran the game and started a career 6) Installed SHC (+ new cfg) and disabled fatigue. I also shortened the times spent in dock to 2 days. 7) I used the program that came with GWX to install - Main Movie "Das Boot" - No Medals on Crews - 16 km Atmosphere - Captain America's Officer Icons (just to see what it was) - Intigrated Orders Then I ran the game and encounted the above problem. I exited and created a new Captain via SH3 and launched the game via SHC again, encountering the same problem again. I exited one last time and started the game without SHC enabled, created Captain Kirk and noticed that it said something about SHC on the bottom of the profile screen. "Enabled by Silent Hunter Commander" or something similar. When chosing year and flotilla I again encounted the problem and made the screen you can see at the top of this post. I made some mistake along the way, didn't I? ![]() |

I'd rollback Commander and exit. Then using JSGme, disable all the mods, then enable them again. Start SH3 once without Commander to see if it works right. If it does. Delete any career you've started while you're still in SH3. Now open Commander and start a new career that way and see what happens. |

It's a combination of three things:
- SH3 only storing one single set of coords for label placement on the screen - SH3's way of determining the length of the label. - SH3Cmdr's use of pre-1940 U-Flotilla names Totally harmless, and unfixable. In fact, German players have suffered it since RUb days, with labels like "1. U-" and "2. U-". |
