What does this radio message mean? 1/KG 40 A/C

I received a message "Broadcast beacons for 1/KG 40 A/C".

Whats this mean?

A/C probably means aircraft..

It's just a "colour" message to make you feel a little less lonely when on patrol.

The actual message would have been for a u-Boat to transmit a beacon signal for the 1st Kampfgeschwader and I assume the 40 A/C means 40 aircraft. I may be wrong on the last bit.

It is code for #1 with cheese and go large on the fries...

. It is just eye and ear candy for some atmosphere of the game. I believe it does pertain to aircraft as stated earlier.
