Flak gunner/ config. question..
Running patched vanilla..
Just upgraded my VIIC conning tower and now have 2 double flaks. I usually dive & run from aircraft since the damage outweighs the renown most times for me. Anyway, I only have 1 flak gunner (Qualification). Since I'm a bad shot w/ flak unless it's against tugs, boats or small ships ![]() I got the second gun before I found out that only I could shoot at surface targets and I wouldn't have twice the firepower ![]() Do you at least get twice the ammo or do you split the loadout?? Thanks!! |

In my type VIIC with the U-flak configuration I had 2 flak gunner warrant officers up there, along with my Watch Officer. With enough medals, your Watch Officer can offer a pretty good boost to gunnery and flak, even if he lacks those qualifications.

Make sure the watch officer ha flack qualifications and has been promoted, then it will boost the effectivness of the flack gunners. Getting another Flack qualified warrent officer will help just make sure you promote him as well. (this is useful when you have the VII/4 flak setup as you need experience saliors to get the most from it.
