How to detonate the torps? Please!

Ahoi...

I have an idea but dont know to make it real in sh3. For some reason i hate when my torpedos running away from the target (missed). Since i play in SH3 with the GW Mod, i see that the torps running away and need more boring time and a long range before it explode. The main question is?

1. Is there any mod to detonate the torpedos after it missed from the target ship? At least it will give them a surprise or a small damage within the radius damage from a torpedo. Especially when using V-G7s torpedos, i press the red button and it get launched from a tube. And not far away it return to me. Well it not funny when you got killed by your own torpedo. To prevent that, how about making an additional Mod button called "DETONATE" (or what it was in german language?)

I know that the question is only a crap text i made. I know that they never build this equipment in old times. But hey.. this is an idea, right?

Well, the short answer is no. Mordern torps were connected by wire to the sub (Mark 48 Swimout's for example), I suspect the latest torps are wireless remote control. As you you've already said, this technology wasn't incorporated into WWW II era subs and thus it is reflected in the historic acurasy of the sim. I know of no MOD that does what you've asked, as the majority of MODs focus on making things even more acurate.

It would be too easy then. Keel-breaking would be just a matter of pressing the button! No Sir We play GWX with plenty of realism!

If you fire your torps straight into the HUGE side of a Large Tanker......they will detonate!!!!! :rotfl:

Is there any other way? Try hitting the side of a different type of ship!

Meh...no way that we need that...get a Aim buddy

and in case of a Memory lag that the screen freezez and the button to remote detonate is when u press the Enter button the 2nd time...ur like smashing the Enter twice..kaboom bye bye Uboat!
