Missing officer

Something odd I noticed once when playing a career about a week ago.

Since ive deactivated crew fatigue, I allowed myself to have 5 officers aboard a Type IXB, after a few patrols, I noticed there were only four again o.O but the Crew Screen bar to the upper left at home base still tells me there are 5/5 officers in my boat.

Where is that guy hiding? (Bernhard?)

You left him in the repair section when you docked at home port, now he won't show up again.

I hate that military attitude of not thinking for themselves and just going off the boat after docking

Correct... happens to me some times.

It's a known bug. Happen to me as well in the past. The only solution is either to load a save before you placed the officer to damage control or use SH3 Commander. If you use SH3 Commander you can release him from duty and then hire a new officer.
