You talking about making your own skins, or installing one?

I used the black sub base textures made by another painter (dont recall his name, but thanx mate). I added some grey dots over it, and voila...
From black to something more greyish.

ex: i did it for fun yesterday http://server6.theimagehosting.com/i...1162111165.jpg

what do you actually wanna repaint..? its not that hard... just select the parts and add some color and for camo u could use textures and then photomerge them in photoshop over the skin..

I use PS CS2 and the main thing about new skins is keeping the details(ie rivets etc). I don't know much about Coral but you need to work in layers and set the layer state to overlay. That way you keep the underlying details. In your pictures above you can't make out the decking detail etc.

I have a tutorial link which may help you out, but it is based on Photoshop....
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...light=SKINNING

BTW I'm willing to do some of the skins for you if you want.

I was going to make my Bernards Daisy boat pink, but thought that it would be stepping on you toes.

You are correct, there isnt much deckin detail on my pics. I will look at your link, and get photoshop from my girlfriends computer. I think thats the best. Just paint the daisy boat pink (keep the flowers!!!!!), dont worry no stepping on toes here, mate! I cant wait to see the result!!!

Thanx, mates, you are truly helpful!
(there are actually good people in the world.. )
