I think i may be going a bit deep into managing the crew here, but heres a few questions as i noticed all the crew members are named, are we supposed to remember these names for a reason:-
1.Does it matter where we put the able seaman, ie can we just stick them in the torpedo compartment one minute and then after a rest put them in the engine room? 2.How do you merit medals etc, why would a member of the crew deserve a medal as an individual, the boat is a team effort afterall? 3.I understand that experience gains promotion, should we keep the same sailors working the same compartments to gain experience or is it "boat & patrol" experience as opposed to compartment experience, ie should the same guy work the radio compartment in order to gain experience? many thanks in advance shipmates ![]() |

I use SH3 Cmdr, and have named all my Officers and Petty Officers, but also have assigned entire crew, even Seamen, Qualifications. All Officers have 3 Qualifications, some Petty Officers have 2, and I assigned 1 qualification to all Seamen. This ensures better chance for promotion, like you said, experience is the key.
As far as the names go, I think it's just for fun, but you get attatched to some of them. I haven't named one Bernard yet, almost affraid too ![]() Last edited by Tuddley3; 10-28-06 at 07:14 PM. |
