Exercise Ocean Lord (ASW nut 101 for you)

Ok today i started a fleet exercise its in three parts, first part is leaving base and starting up the routine of hiding and going through the area to run out any unwelcome guest's.

The Exercise is small it contains only one Destroyer Nastroychivvy (Sovremenny class) and one frigate of the kirvak class (orel) and also one corvette (metoz) they will be escorting a lone cargo ship (daniel bodlev) and two kilo's (Altmatyevsk, volgda).

Heres the brief:

" Your returning from a patrol in the atlantic, when a broadcast comes to your attention that terrorists have over powered security staff at a nuclear weapons storage facility on the kola peninsular and have loaded multiple weapons on board the cargo vessel.

The vessel will be escorted by three ships and at least two submarines as the terrorists have managed to over power the crew and force them to sea.

Your task is to sink the cargo ship and damage the other vessels so that they have to return to base or slow down sufficently so we can board using special forces.

THIS IS AN EXERCISE

Your tasked to simulate sinkings only your not to fire any live munitions during the exercise, untill orderd further, should you achieve mission kill before 1900 hours then the mission is complete however if you dont you must surface and return home you have just 6 hours to find the ships and submarines, your on your own untill back up arrives."



It will last two days and will involve some complex monovers in partial ice fields, im against two kilo's who are in thier home terratory i cant out dive them here and speed is restricted to around 14 knots im at a fairly disadvantage but i hope that i will achieve all the goals.

To make this even i propose i email the mission to ASWNUT101 so he can play it and see what result he gets.

hmm, so questions first:

1. Do I get to play as the kilos?

2. Is it a single player type? I have no Dangerous Waters Internet acesss.

3. Will the entire mission be two days long? (I may not have that much time, you know.....)

Yes you can play the kilo however id prefer if you played from the akula point of view for the first try as im trying to prove a point that the akula is more deadly.

Its not a massive mission its not big and not highly detailed but its just one to prove my point, if you guys send email addys to PM inbox then il send them out.
