Default Difficulty question

Hi guys
So i'm late '40 in my career with GW mod.
Until now it was too easy i didnt get any damage not even 1%...
So i heard that its going to be harder as the time pass with the radar and all that stuff but how much?I evade the DD's too easy...
I'm playing at 100% realism.
Should i try NYGM,i've read its harder than GW.
Is it possible to continue the career i started with GW using NYGM??
Any link for the NYGM mod?The one in the download section doesnt work...
Thx

NYGM is a bit harder at full realism levels than GW is. I actually did copy over a career started with GW into NYGM. The only problem I had was that my crew was too large and there was some funky renown and tonnage issues. I ended up just restarting a fresh career.

You can find download links for NYGM at it's home page. Note that the 2.2 download is midway down the 'Home' page, not on the 'Downloads' page.

It's not an GW issue. That preety much happens in the stock game or in all the major mods. Things start to become harder over time. Before you know it, the brits will smarten up, and when 1943 rolls around the tide of war will change.

There are stories about "retired" captains that had been heroes at the begining of the war, completing their tour of duties with very good results. As the war progressed and things started to go badly for the germans, they started recaling these "old salts" back to active duty in hope of turning the tide. Sadly, some (if not most) of these famous captains were sunk (by aircraft mostly) on their very first patrol upon return to active duty .... such was the diference between the early and later years.

in '42 you'll first taste the airplanes a bit...

My last patrol I met one and shot it down ofcourse but he managed to drop his bombs onto my stern blasting my HI down to 69 %.... so the best has yet to come...actually the time '39 til 41 are ment to sink as much as you can and use that renown to buy upgrades or a better sub.

Just wait till 42 then you'll look back and realise how easy it was at first
