Default Black screen and booted to desktop

Hello all,

When ever I play Multiplayer this will happen to me. It's random, does not seem to happen at a certain time (like explosion etc). I have everything turned off in the background. Sometimes I can play for a hour or more before it happens. I play mainly stock, with 1.4 patch. (Part of WPL) Does not happen within my game(campaign)

My computer is about 4 yrs old, it runs SH3 stock with no problem. Cannot run GW because my Video card and computer does not have enough memory to run it. Any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks in advance.

you might clean ur PC a bit,
*Defragmentate the Hard Disk
*Update all the drivers you have
*Reinstall SH3 +1.4b Patch

wich OS are you using anyway? and what are your system specs?

running windows XP
2.1 Ghz processor, 512 megs of Ram, 128 meg Video card, Sound blaster live sound card.
I defrag weekly and run antivirus and spyware remover to get rid of any thing I could pick up. I also have a cable modem, which seems stable.

not sure about sh3 but other games in multi play on a xp pro set up prefer a manual ip addy rather than the auto xp one...located in ya ipx/tpc settings in network connections...

perhaps might help ya out...dont forget to allow exceptions in the win fire wall etc ...
