What can you see?!? Looking Around

Ok, I have finally completed my dual install of GW and NYGM, and really enjoy both for different reasons.

However, I run the whole game with no hud interaction, and wanted to know how I can look around more? My head turn seems to be limited to 20 deg right and left of, say, the navigator map. I also can't look down at the compass on the bridge of the type VII? Does anybody know how/what mod will unlock my neck and let me actually look around a little bit?
