Default New book: Russian Submarines - Guardians of the Motherland

Product Description
This book is intended to be an illustrated view to a few of Russia's modern submarines. It offers looks not available anywhere else of the experimental Beluga, with its body of revolution design. The Alfa, which turned the western world on end with its unexpected arrival on the scene, is shown closely for the first time in a book, out of the water in dry dock photographs revealing delightful detail. The Akula, the modern day workhorse of the Russian Navy, and the immense Typhoon are also shown. Both of which have an enormous presence wherever they are seen. Many of the photographs inside the book are dry dock pictures.

About the Author
Wayne Frey was born in 1958 in Monroe Louisiana. A graduate from Northeast Louisiana University, Wayne has traveled several times overseas to research Russian submarines, investigate submarine bases, and interview submarine officers. Wayne is a member of the St. Petersburg Submarine Club, in St. Petersburg Russia, an organization dedicated to helping the widows and orphans of submariners still on patrol and a gathering point of submariners who truly belong to the Brotherhood of the Fin Submariners.
