Thank goodness I never go in public restrooms, because nowadays, even a father accompanied with a young son can't be trusted anymore, it could be fatal to me/you... look at this news, click on the image of the idiot to see the video.

The worst is when he says, "Well I have the right to bear guns you know".

I wouldn't even give him the right to bear a "toothpick".

Just imagine the gun was pointing on the wrong side and would have killed is son, or like I said above anyone else...himself I wouldn't care thought.

He does have the right to bear arms, but the MORON should've shot himself for that.

Glocks have a HEAVY trigger pull, it's about 11lbs, and it's like moving a brick wall when you break the trigger (break as in the final pull before the round lights up).

Keep your finger OUT of the trigger guard when handling a firearm.

I would've ordered this man to attend a safety course for pistols. And then Community Service for being an ass hat. And the phrase "Accidental Discharge" should be banned from existence. There should be NO accidents with this stuff.

This guy was an idiot. If you have not practiced taking a piss while excercising your concealed-permit, then you shouldn't have the damn thing in the first place. He's damn lucky he didn't get a ricochet in his son's eye (from the overhead piping), or some ceramic tile fragments, much less a cranial hit.

disclaimer-- I personally carry a H&K .45 compact in one of the "Thunder Belts", most of the time, with the hammer down (first shot is double-action). It's a bit of a hassle to wizz, but my stomach is fairly flat, so I can just shift the thing a bit. Not knowing the specifics, but with a small amount of guessing, I would probably recommend situps for this guy.

And I am sure that you have the safety lock on as well, apparently that guy didn't...

I've seen this Chinese guy who can throw sewing needles fast enough to penetrate your skull. Perhaps the same can be done with a toothpick sturdy enough.

So he shot the roof. Reminds me of the husband of an old friend I no longer have contact with. He was a cop and when he got mad at his wife he'd take his pistol and empty the clip on the ceiling in between the two, then he'd wander away untill things cooled down. This is actually quite a good idea to stop a discussion and post-pone it for when you have calmed down. Of course there are a few problems, you want to make sure there's no Cessna flying over your house at the time the shooting takes place :p

, you also want to make sure your partner doesn't want to shoot you to pieces in return

and last but not least make sure there's nothing fancy about your roof and nothing functional inside it either.

Sure, their neighbors didn't shared the same enthusiasm for this method I display here.

But the alternative, simply walking away in silence, is far too boring.

The Glock is also something I have a problem with, it's got too many problems with safety issues.

Like the issue of the holster-firing with LEOs', and that there is no reliable safety to stop the travel of the firing pin.

The Spring. XD has a bit of improvement, but still that same safety flaw.

Beretta however, has excellent safety features with their SA/DA and rolling block drive pin.

But I'm not all that familiar with the HK .45 (other than that it's an expensive piece here in the states). What are the safety features or flaws that you may have concerns with?

Your suppose to aim the weapon downwards at all times. Bullets that go up, must come down. i remember when I was a kid, I was at a barbecue with my parents and a few other kids. They were mostly friends of my older sister. We were all sitting at the table outside just getting started to dish up our plates. Out of nowhere a little girl at the end of the table had an arrow through her head from the top and out her lower jaw and stuck into the table. She was killed instantly. My parents swooped me up and ran me into the house and the rescue squad came and pronounce her dead at the scene. Turned out that some stupid kid a few doors down was launching arrows up at the sky trying to hit flying birds with them. The boy of course didn't get maximum punishment that an adult would have and went off to a junvenille prison system. That was over 25 years ago so the punishments were a bit less severe for accidental deaths. We moved out of that area by that next summer.

Well ,arrows have a lot more mass than bullets and therefore once the velocity is spent a bullet falling out of the sky is far less likely to produce a serious injury, but on the whole you are correct. It's a stupid and dangerous thing to do.

Up down, or to the side, any direction the muzzle is pointing must be ina safe direction. Ie. away from other ppl.
