Default Transfer Base bug

Hi

Sorry if this thread has been done before. Playing Grey Wolves mod - I finished my 3rd mission in '39 and wanted to change my base from Keil.

In the Transfer page I requested Flotilla 7 and got the message "Null" - pressing OK it then got stuck in a loop

- Null
- OK
- Null
- OK
- Null
- OK
- Null

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggghhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!

So I had to make a manual re-boot to get out of it. Anyone know a solution to this bug

Had it once myself ages ago and did the same as you - manual reboot
Didnt try again for a couple more patrols then was ok - once you have clicked on the transfer you want make sure you click on the phone to enter the request - anywhere eles seems to make it go funny

Never had it again though

Are you using SH3 commander?

I had this same problem with GW using sh3 commander altough it was my 8th or 9th patrol. I was trying to transfer from weddigan using a IIA in kiel to wihelmshaven and it would freeze up with null in the request screen. I had to uncheck "historic U-boat date availubility" in commander if i remember correctly. Whatever flottila i was moving to did not have the IIa.

If just using GW and if your using a IIA--and the flotiila you are transfering to uses VIIB or IX--it could be you don't have enough renown to get a VIIB or IX--thus not able to transfer?? If that does not work im sure someone else can help.

thanks - no I am not using Commander

Me thinks its a bug when, as you say, you do not have enough renown

its the manual re-boot that pisses me off

im also having that problem, but its not because im transfering, but rather its my 10th patrol in 1939-40 and my base was changed. they notified me in a radio messege right as i was coming into wilhelmshaven and i was very very low on feul and there was no way i couldve made it to lorient. so i docked at wilhelmshaven and in my office everything except for options is locked up and it says in my next patrol mission that the grid is NULL.

is this because i have to sail to lorient in my next patrol? would playing on 100% realism have anything to do with this?

No its just unfortunate timing
Your flotilla has moved so Wilhelm is now just a friendly port
Off to Lorient you go

Yes leave Wilhelm and head for Lorient
Sink all you can on the way - no rush to get there
