Default Battle Front

That was where DW was first released, some type of a cooperative effort and then it split. I don't know any details, I don't believe the site is even around anymore, but I have not looked for it.

Battlefront.com was Dangerous Waters first publisher. It didn't work out and SCS and Battlefront parted ways.

There are only two types of DW-Players. Those, who own a pre-ordered Battlefront-version...and the rest.

Battlefront still exists, they publish several games including the relatively well-known Combat Mission. However, the section on their site for Dangerous Waters is no longer there, there's a site maintained by Sonalysts that replaces it at: http://www.sonalystscombatsims.com/
