Paused game

So I just lost a career, every time I load a game even a new career it loads paused. Ever savegame loads paused. I searched and found a post explaining how to fix this but it doesn't seem to work for me. So what causes this? I was playing last night & then saved & to quit, I did not think I was paused when I saved. Load today and it loads paused, can't do jack

Seems I need to redownload GW and reinstall since new careers load paused as well.

again what causes this , I want to make dang sure I don't do it again!
