This expansion HAS perked my interest . . . . but I also do not like the way the freeware mods have been "borrowed" without credit being given . . . or asked if they could be used. But there are enought threads here now ranting about what has been done.
I have a different question. I believe I saw references that GW was working on a similar modification to their great MOD. Can anyone re-verify this? And can any specifics be given. Preferrably . . . . . compare it with what the expansion does. Obviously it will do it better <grin>. But if there is something similar that is coming down the road . . I'd like to know more about it. I looked at the GW website and did not see anything and I've tried a few searches here that have not worked too well. Thanks in advance.

That link certainly does shed more light on the project ![]() Sounds promising too! I'd still like to see some sort of comparison though. One perk seems to be that the Flotilla's are not moved like they appear to be in X1's UBOAT project. Hopefully more information will come out soon.

Even though I'm probably not qualified to say so... judging by the quality of the commercial med add on I have no doubt that GWX will be a much better expansion, with even more and higher quality content.

I would expect the next GWX to far superior to the current released SW-Med.
What some just can't seem to get is SW-Med was never intended for us. It was never made with any notion the mod community would support it at all. It is for the no-desire-to-mod gamey crowd and for those that want to click install and play it is well worth the money. For those that want to and enjoy mods GW is the best looking and NYGM plays better or (IMO) closer to being a sim. Frankly I have combined all three to the original and then redid the RND, SCR, Flotilla, sensors, weapons, crew cfg, basic cfg etc etc because I find things wrong with all of them. After all; my SH3 is the way I think it should be. Don't you think yours should be what you feel is the closest thing to being a virtual kaleun? Wulfmann
