No Jap subs? Dang...

But then again, I suppose they can be added by modding!

What I really like is the enhanced radio system and the special missions. Let's get some commandos deployed, shall we?

The terrain's looking sweet, too, and I'm curious to learn more about the "new editing options".

Agreed.

But I think we can start "polite" pushing for Japanese subs in the game, at least computer subs. Some American subs sank several Japanese subs in one patrol, and some American subs were lost to IJN subs, so I say to the dev team, come on guys, here's that last little feature. At least we not asking for a dynamic career!!

No destroyer to handle juste subs (too bad)
Remember the beautiful trailer of SH3 (the U boat in the iceberg) and what did you get when the soft was released
At this time Ubi Soft seem to ignore one more time the french community , the 'official' SH4 website in french is , well where it is? .

Still too early to say.

Like the screenies of the early style US subs, though!

You work for Ubi$oft,

Ubi$oft prefer to wait for a free translation done by the french naval community (tripartite and MS), they have nothing to do and get all the $$$ for the sales in france, Belguim, Swiss, Canada, some west african countries, ....
I hope SH 4 will be release only in Japanesse and russian, you will enjoy to play it

Yup, still too early.

I would like to get more details on the multiplayer aspect.

What does "escort’s commander vs. player wolf pack" mean?

SH3's multilplayer was IMO lousy.

If this means player controlled escorts a la DC2 but wrapped up in a single game then yahoo!

Where do I place my order?

I'm for having IJN subs as computer controlled. I'm Clear the Bridge by O'Kane there was some concern about enemy subs and getting torpedoed. It would put an even more need on your watch crew on spotting incoming torpedos. It would also be fun to actually try to sink a Japanese sub before they dive.

The idea that the SH4 engine is based on the SH3-engine but allows for support of extensions and updates interests me. I hope that everything they promise will reach the final DVD as we have been disappointed the first time we play the game. I'm looking forward to 2007 Q1! :p
