Just read it. The only thing that makes SH4 worth getting is the multiplayer side of it. The rest is a bloody big let down, AGAIN!

Neal you forgot to ask if kiwi can be the beta tester!

Anyways sounds like SH1 all over again with better graphics, looking forward to seeing how the multiplayer turns out. This is going to be good.

I'm looking forward to SH4, too. So far, from what I've heard the game looks like a good evolutionary step forward.

When SH4 hits the shops, nuts to work fun comes first.

I look forward to seeing some real screenies and not just the artistic renderings. Still, very promising.

My posts going missing lately. Someone is intent on making me an A-ganger for life.

I have some mixed feeling about this!

In the Q&A it seemed to me that once again made some choices between the simmy and gamey approach!

I don't just want SH3 with better graphic in an pacific scenario. I want all the tiny details and stuff that we like! I mean something like an Falcon 4.0 among subsims!
I wanna walk the sub and see more crews!! In the A&Q the stated that a skipper spends most of the time on the bridge! Well..no he doesn't the sub is a home among other things! And I want to be able to write my own KGB.

I want tools, good tools for our modding gurus! So taht we can add our own stuff!
And why does UBI always push those early relase dates! Why don't they give the devs time to deliver a Sim that will melt our brains and bleed our eyes!

They almost had it with SH3

But i hope the best! And I'm also gonna miss the german Subs stabiz mate!

Default Balao Class Missing?

I was surprised to read that the Balao Class and S-Class may not be in the game. This has got to be an oversight. As you can see below, there were a total of 244 different boats that participated in the Pacific War and the Balao's were the biggest class grouping.

S-Class 22
P-Class 10
Salmon Class 9
Sargo Class 7
Tambor Class 12
Gato Class 72
Balao Class 102
Tench Class 10

Total Sub 244

Note: This excludes 6 very unique one-off subs that saw considerable action in the Pacific (Argonaut, Narwhal, Nautilus, Dolphin, Cachalot and Cuttlefish)

I bet they just forgot to mention the Balao, since it would be such a major mistake to leave it out of the game. I think leaving out the much admired S-Class "Sugar boats" would be for some people the equivalent of leaving out the TypeII's from SH3. Emeazul

Good point. I'm not sure if by Gato, the mean Gato/Balao... Since the only major difference was the hull thickness and diving depth, I assumed they will have both. I'll have to ask in the next interview

Exactly. I await SHIV with baited breath, but I'll keep playing SHIII as well (until and even better WWII subsim comes along).
