After expending all my torpedoes just off the eastern US coast, I disabled a large ship by striking the propellor. However I couldn't man the gun to finish him because of the rough weather. I waited a few days but it didn't improve and I was forced to turn & go back for base.
Can the "can't gun in rough water" be turned off? I'm using the Grey Wolves mod. |

It can be altered - go to
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Submarine\ Click on the boats folder you are using and open the .cfg ( in notepad ) ClassName=SSTypeIXB HumanPlayable=YES Interior=data/Interior/NSS_Uboat9/NSS_Uboat9 UnitType=200 MaxSpeed=18.2 MaxSpeedSubmerged=7.3 Length=76.9 Width=6 RenownAwarded=140 [Salvo] 1=1,3,2,4 2=1,2,4 3=1,3,4 4=1,4 5=2,3 6=1,3 7=2,4 8=5,6 [Properties] PeriscopeDepth=12;meters SnorkelDepth=10;meters CrashDepth=50;meters MaxDepth=500;meters SurfaceDepth=8;meters TorpLaunchMaxDepth=25;meters StormConditions=11,0.9;max wind speed [m/s], max rain intensity [0,1] The bottom line - StormConditions - is the line you need to alter Best do it after your patrol though as not sure will bugger your patrol up and make a back up of the original just in case |

Yep if you want to be able to use it in the worst weather conditions change that line to 15,1
However that also controls when your watch crew puts on their bad weather clothes. so dont be surprized if they are dressed normaly in the worst of storms. |
