Default U-boot.Real Sim Hacked Again

I just went to Terrapin's site at 11:21 EDT and it's been hacked again....

Here's the screenshot I took to prove it.

If anyone can get ahold of him and let him know, please do. But then again he might already know.

I was on U-Boot RealSim late yesterday afternoon and early evening, and it was ok.

He needs a security setup that responds back to any hacker and destroys them. It would teach em a lesson for sure. A friend has it for his computer and it works great. A couple of hackers tried getting in and were blown away awhile back. He never had any more hacker problems after that.

These scumbags should be executed for their crimes.

We are going to find them, then we are going to smoke them.

You gave me the idea. "script kiddy"
I began to find out about the subject and .... look

Terrapin is using a very very old version of "FastCGI".

As I found out in Google, this version is for kiddies looking for fun

But the solution is quite simple ---> just upgrade it.

What's the point? It's not like it's a political website...Not that it should make any difference, but why go through all this effort to disrupt? People just want to download mods and be left alone!

Because some people think hacking is cool. Some myth propigated by modern media somehow.
Movies like this one:
http://imdb.com/title/tt0113243/
Or go back further, i think this one started the whole "craze"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086567/

So you have some kids out there who want to be hackers because they think its k3wl_.
Also one reason i think l33t sp3ak came about. Trying to type in such a way as if to say, "i spend so much time in code, it just sort of bleeds out now like second nature to me, im bad ass baby! All skillz!"

So why do they do it? script kiddies do it, for a thrill. The thrill i think is doing something out of the norm, something that breaks to rules. AND, because they think that is cool. Script kiddies lack the knowledge to REALLY do some nasty stuff, but they try to pass it off like they do. Its also an ego thing, and they want a reputation for being bad ass.

So while script kiddies are really kinda lame, thats how real hackers often get their start. Running scripts is a stepping stone to build knowledge upon. Someone who's a real hacker woudlnt waste their time on site such as realsimulation.com, it poses no challenge to them, and doesnt really have anything they'd really want.

Actualy 1337 5p34k came into existance way back when and was used by these groups to talk covertly to each other untill it was quickly adopted by the lesser wanabies (ie script kidies), and from there spread to every single multiplayer game, chat and forum on the planet. Now only the lamest script kiddies and multiplayer knobs use it.

But yep scripts can be a stepping stone to learning how its realy done by disecting the script, fortunatly most of the script kiddies are too stupid to get very far and usualy discover girls (or get caught and have their equipment seized and grounded for the rest of their lives after the criminal charges) by then (not that they tend to get very far with girls mind you, bragging about your latest "hack" is a sure fire turnoff)

Meh, regardless how l33t sp33ch got started, its still lame as hell. If they wanted to be cryptic, they could have written in hex code or something. I did a little wannabe game cracking back in 87, and i was dorky enough to remember half the alphabet in hex. These days, i look at a hex editor like a monkey doing a math problem. :rotfl:

edit:
You know i just realized, i was probably one of the earliest script kiddies. Oh the shame of it! Seriously, back in 87 game copy protection was pathetically weak. Most of the time it invloved having a key disk. So You had a number of TSR's you could run that would bypass it. Put TSR in a batch file, edit the game to show your stupid name "cracked by Im a dork", and give it to your friends at school.

Have you notified terrapin about this?

You may want to try and contact him as he may not be aware how out of date his sites software is.
