Default Amazed by finding docked ships at Port (Capetown)

10th Flotilla, patrol orders grid GR55, after completing the 24 hours patrol on grid decided to wander at nightfall into capetown in hope of finding merchant incoming or outgoing traffic, to my amazement i found a 10,000 ton tanker and a 6000 ton cargo ship docked at port...i remember seing on this forum that you couldn't find any docked ships at enemy ports...what's going on? will i be able to find more docked ships on any other ports?

Stock game? Mods? The 1.4b patch added some ships to some enemy harbors, and Harbour Traffic also adds some enemies as well as the friendlies.

The patch probably put them there, then. As I said, they said the patch would add some enemy ships.

I got GW and i have been to grid GR99,98,97,95 so many times I lost count I have never got a convoy past FreeTown. Capetown harbour Is not worth the hassle to me to go that far south unless I want to go to Penang (and that's 1 hell of a trip)

Yes do that.... I play a hodgepodge modded vanilla version and would be interested in learning what you discover too. Myself I'm pretty much for sticking to routine and not drifitng to out of the way places. For example until you mentioned it I had never even noticed Capetown being on the map.

Sure, no problem, that's what we are here for. There are so many details out there that need to be experienced only thru making a lot of time in the simulation. I've played a fair amount of hours since the release of SHIII and for example i have yet not seen a dolphin and i'm anxious to see one yet :p, i haven't had the will to wander into ports like Port said, Halifax, Liverpool, and New York! which by the way looks pretty amazing by the photos provided by other sub captains on this forum, even Gibraltar would be a thrill even if i get squashed.
