It had to happen sometime, and I don't know if i shared this a while back - a spontaneous exploding Dell laptop, but a laptop battery finially took down a DC-8. They did manage to land it first though:

Hahahaha! In similar news:
Dell recalls 22,000 batteries Fire, death, badgers By Charlie Demerjian: Friday 16 December 2005, 23:15 DELL IS RECALLING a bunch of notebooks, something about fire and the like. If you have a Latitude D410, D505, D510, D600, D610, D800 or D810, an Inspiron 510M, 600M, 6000, 8600, 9200, 9300, XPS Gen 2, a Dell Precision M20 or M70, and have not caught fire, you probably want to call 866-342-0011. If you have caught fire, call 911, leave the house quickly, and then call 866-342-0011. Operators will be glad to assist you with the battery side of things, but can't do much about the fire because most are 11 time zones or so away. If you care to read more about it, there is a page set up here, and it is a real page turner, hard to put down. If you simply want to read up on badger mating read this, pay close attention to the body weight increases part. µ |
