Basically, what Anvart is saying is that the smoke node cannot be moved unless the funnel is moved. It can be inconvenient, at times.

1 variant: to create intermediate 3D object and through it to connect ship... _cos (Cosh) with a smoke. 2 variant: the variant which used AG124. Last edited by Anvart; 06-11-06 at 02:53 PM. |

I continue. About two methods mentioned by me above, I somewhere heard, but I do not know details. I use a "native" method. It is necessary to know, that by default, Smoke ParticlesGenerator is connected with PivotPoint of the parent 3D Mesh object. Knowing it, it is easy to understand, that it is necessary to do. Classical example NATF (TugBoat): 1) It is taken NATF_cos from NATF.dat 2) It is loaded (is imported) NATF_cos.obj in 3D Editor 3) It is moved NATF_cos Mesh so that PivotPoint (with coordinates 0,0,0) it has appeared in the necessary place of a funnel 4) It is saved (is exported) NATF_cos.obj 5) It is inserted NATF_cos.obj in NATF.dat file This all. The smoke can be attached to any 3D object. It is necessary for this purpose to insert object ID, as the parent in Type 10 dataBlock obj_Funnel. ![]() |
