Default Planes, Planes and more planes

Damn. It is Dec 1, 1942, I have been bombarded by enemy planes 8 times in 1 day and I haven't even gone 500 km from St. Nazaire heading to the North Atlantic. They are coming in groups of 2 to 4 planes at a time. I'm spending all my time underwater. Sheesh.

even in the stock campaign it is pretty murderous once you get into 1943--
re charging your batterys without a snorkel sooner or later involves you fighting it out on the surface -if your any where near the coast any way---

i just lost half a crew because i had no batterys left and had to surface--did manage to recharge the batterys tho--17 dead as a result ouch--

not enough crew in the barrcks at port to replace them all so nect patrol is with less than a full stack--and this time i'm going the long way round to the patrol zone--oh yes sirree--

i've allso knocked the settings down a little in airstrike.cfg to strike a gameplay balance --
so it's pretty bad as stock in some areas--

Where do I find that and what should I change it to?

After "Iron coffins" I know it was very difficult to alive without schnorchel. GW is close to real life.

this is probably the quickest way

Default Air Strike Probability=5

stock is

Default Air Strike Probability=15 (i think?)

so knock it down a bit from where yours is set and it -i guess- rolls a dice to decide wether to launch the attack

My default is 10, so knocking it down to 5 is okay then?

CB. This is a little off topic. How is the UK now-a-days. My grandmother was born over there and often wanted to go back for a visit, but, she never made it there. I had her heraldry traced (Howard) and way back in her family history she had royalty in her family, which was nice to find out.

sounds interesting --

the UK isn't what it used to be tho--it's all brands and competitive fashions
--but may-be i'm getting too old for these things
