Default Warship off the Norwegian coast in 1940

Okay, I thought I made a BAD deal when starting in Kiel. A sucky harbor with lots of frigging aircraft flying everywhere all the time, and a Zerstohrer in the way (DAMNIT! Make them more subtle, please..?). However, the southern coast of Norway proved to be a goldmine. Them Poles just kept showing up! Now, in April 1940, I can sink as many Norwegians as I want. Too bad they rarely top the C2-size.

So, off to the POINT, midst of April I was sailing around Bergen to do some... "fishing", and got a radio message. It said that somewhere, might be coordinates AF28 or something, a fast enemy warship was heading SSE (direction of Orkney). Cranked the engines to happy-go-lucky-full-full, trying to estimate where I would have to intercept.
Either I was too sloppy on them estimates, or she turned at some point. She was doing 30 knots at the time of the radio message, has anyone ever encountered this one?

If it was making 30 knots then it was a cruiser. Hard to catch those speedy bastages.

Hard?! A cruiser's doing 30+knots, and you're in a U-boat that can only do something like 18 knots at flank speed, and that's on the surface (I think flank speed submerged is like 8 knots)...I'd say that's damned near impossible unless you're right in front of him.

I caught this TF by saving and getting in front. Turned out to be 4 British DDs. Not to hard to sink if you can get in front of them.
