Default How are the minefields generated in career mode?

I have been noticing that when I enter a minefield the mines are all along my course just to the left and right. If I change course, the density does not seem to change and again they are in a line right along my course. I am wondering if the mines are placed while the game is runiing or if they are generated once when the mission starts. Oh, also I am using Real U-boat 1.45.

I have noticed that too. I don't know how the fields are generated but at least they seem to be very "crowded".

Density is variable. Minefields are created like all other units in the campaign layers and the density can be changed there.

They are part of the SCR (scripted layer) so they will be the same every time. In the SHIII Mission Editor you can look at the fields and change the density if you like.
