Default Some "I wonder"'s....

Maybe you guys know....

i wonder....

....The deeper you take your boat, can you hear better with the hydro's?

....When engaging a cargo ship with the deck gun, does setting the on-deck cargo ablaze with a round help bring the ship down?

....Does the game simulate repairs to cargo ships? I was on patrol today and came across 2 C2's together. My first torp hit the first boat, and its screws stopped turning. Ive seen this before, and when attacking convoys in calm waters, ill often loeave this boat dead in the water and og after another target. Then ill come back and finish it off with the gun when coast is clear. This boat, however, abruptly restarted its engines and puttered away 10 mins after the thr first torp strike.

...why can I hear screws turning from the hydrophone station, when my officer and certified radioman cant?

1. Don't think it affects it.

2. In vanilla, it doesn't really seem to matter.

3. I don't know...odd.

4. Perchance, was this at 180* when moving?

Oh lord, because they are horrible at their jobs!

But really, the hydro can hear stuff (if you are listening yourself) from quite a ways away. Much farther than your crew can.

Not sure why. Maybe just to force you to become more active in the ships operations.
