I've had good success with battleships, having sunk 25+ in 200+ patrols. The Med is the best place for battleships and cruisers IMO, but not the only place. Try grids CJ75 and CG95 and the western approach to Malta. Also the grids west of Scapa and NW of Loch Ewe, and of course there's a chance to find moored men-of-war in each of those naval bases.

Other likely grids include CG43, AM41 and for Escort Carriers the best spot on the map is BE66 (from 1942 onwards)

Fleet carrier encounters are rare for me, I've only seen two or three outside of harbors.

Good hunting.

Start looking into harbors. Get the Sh3Gen application (search in the mods section).

I concur go and do some Harbour bashing there you'll find some BB's I know there's a BB in Loch Ewe in 1940 Scapa is anouther place you can try but I forgot the dates when the capital ships are there. or try your hand at attacking one of the TFs when the occupation of Norway starts.

Why is the Med such a good place for battleships? I would have thought somewhere around Lock Ewe or Scapa would be best.

July 22, '42, 13:09, grid AM51. A King George Battleship. You have to be in perfect position and be at your best. If I remember there was like 6 destroyers with her and the lot was steaming at 21 kts. Good luck catching them. Best to find passenger liners but I've only seen one so far and I can't remember where and when.
