GW and milkcow, are these steps correct??? (days in base)

sorry again my english

In Gw, if i want to use a milkcow (f.e. thalia at first) is that what im doing the ok??::

1) go to thalia
2) 'stay in base'
3) go out sh3
4) load again with shecommander and 'days in base=2' ???
5) go out thalia and continue...

i mean if i know im going to 'milkcow' when i have to load it again with sh3??? before entry thalia, after?? dont know if i explain (like always
