Default OT : what do i name this thread ???

i dunno.

A few weeks back a fellow in New York City was chased by a gang of thugs and ended up getting hit by a car trying to escape. it was headline news here in the big city and

This fellow died.

Someone i am acquainted with knew him from on online forum.

I wasnt surprised to find myself reaching out to this acquaintance to offer support. Because, despite what some of you may think, i tend to be an empathic person.

still,
I was surprised to discover just how horrible i felt when i considered the
possibilty of one of my "online buddies" meeting with such a violent end.

try to imagine arguing over reality pct's (or autocrew, cheats, sensor issues or which handle turn the periscope what direction) with someone only to find out they were murdered hours later.

its a sickening thought, aint it ?

Guess i just want to remind all of you how precious life is, and that forums and clubs such as this should be ENJOYED. its a game. its supposed to be fun. a way to relieve the stresses of real life.

spend more time having fun and less time arguing over rules and imperfections before you have no time left at all.

apologies for the emotional outburst.

warm regards to all,
dave

I subsim friend of mine was knifed a few months ago. Fortunately, he expects to recover fully. But yeah, bad things happen to good people, and the fact that you know them only online doesn't make them any less real or less vulnerable to violent crime.

For what it's worth, I hope those thugs get caught.

Those "thugs" are 13 and 15 year old honor students... it's not clear what happened in this case.

"alleged perpetrators" instead of "thugs".

if i am to walk out the door and get hit by a bus,
i REALLY hope the time just prior to that
is not spent arguing over a game replay.
