Iran thing

I watched a documentary yesterday about a US cruiser shooting down an iranian aircraft.The incident took place when a navy film crew were on board and they filmed it.I noticed that although the crew were at action stations they wore no sort of protective gear such as anti flash and one man on a radar was in a t-shirt.Does the USN not use anti flash gear?It seemed a bit soft not to wear anything but a t-shirt(i assume he had trousers but they were out of shot)when the ship is under attack.

its sad but perhaps unavoidable from a US perspective in order to maintain some symbolence of security. though I believe Iran's statement and concern that they will require an alternative fuel source within 10-20yrs in order to insure they have surplus fossil fuels for export(they have nothing else to make money with that i know of), they have also been sympathetic and/or directly supportive of those factions who openly oppose the US and/or desire to proactivly engage, disrupt, attack, etc Us interests.

The civilian use of Nuclear power could certainly provide access to these oppositional factions through direct or indirect support by a national leader, governing body, adminstrator, etc who is sympathetic to these factions. this is a reasonable concern for the US, and may be enough to justify in US eyes reason to proactivly prevent this from happening.

maybe after we eliminate this threat we can possibly attempt to make up for it by keep Iran update with other alternative fuels the west is developing...supposedly Lawerence Livermore Labs has made some significnt headway in fusion power, supposedly they can get it to last for a split second and release more energy than was put in to it, and they are literally years a way from perfecting it. It may also explain why the recently mounted 30cal gatling gun pods around the research campus(AAA).

Damage control parties with the exception of the nozzleman and hosemen wear antiflash hoods, flash gloves and OBA's
