Default Horrible patrol................

I am in the midst of perhaps my worst patrol ever....I was down near Gibraltar and things were going pretty good.....bagged a couple C3s a C2 and a few small merchants....decided to stop and resupply at the Thalia and then decided to sail up towards Firth of Clyde....I received a radio msg. of an incoming convoy which never seemed to materialize...I dont know how I could have missed it but I did....I searched all over....but it just disappeared....and then the weather turned to $%@# and I spent five torpedoes trying to sink a destroyer.....twice they blew up prematurely...and the others sailed right under without detonating....then I wasted another one only to have it bounce off him..... and to make matters worse we are constantly being harassed by those damn Hurricanes.....I will be glad to get back to port after this one......I have figured out that when the seas get rough...it is sometimes very hard to sink these destroyers using the magnetic pistol......but when I tried using the impact pistol..it seems that they detonated premetuely.......

you should be fine now... The British have now less planes for awhile

I've just sunk Illustrious Fleet carrier (DJ12) with 5 torps (plus 1 dud) 1800-900m and the target was moving at 30 knots

Why are you going for DD's they are a waste of a fish the only time I would take one out is if it was in a convoy and I considered it a threat or I was detected otherwise leave the bloody thing alone they not worth the fish.

I did the same. A destroyer was patrolling my grid, and I frequently had to crash dive while trying to charge batteries. I got so annoyed I just went to periscope depth when I got the radar warning. The destroyer detected me and I let loose a T5. Blew the sod sky high.

Waste of a torp, but the satisfaction was immense
