I did a full reinstall of SH3 in order to use the Grey Wolves mod. Well, not only won't my GW mod work...but now NONE of my mods will work! Even mods that worked fine before no longer work. I have a clean reinstall...patched to 1.4 and the mod enabler. Now, if I try to use any mod at all, (including the Tonnage War Mod that worked perfectly before!)...I get a quit to desktop during the load screen and I get a "SH3 has encountered a problem and needs to close" error message. The only way I can get the game to load properly is to load it completely stock with no mods. I have done clean reinstalls before without any problems. Anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong this time?

It could be any one little thing - even a single .cfg file which is labelled wrong could cause a CTD.
![]() If you haven't done so already, try installing one at a time, and see which one is causing the problem. And instead of using a mod pack, first try a smaller mod. |

sounds like it could be related to a movie file. if so a very simple fix is available, i will look for the exact file name, this is a common CTD

This might be the fix you need
Delete both 0 byte WMV files from data\movies\intro |

Thanks I'll give that a shot! But...why would this stop ALL of my mods from working?

not exactly sure why. The GW Mod may have installed the extra wmv file, it doesn't cause a problem for everyone for others it cuases a CTD when loading. Hopefully this will work for you, I am only guessing that this is your problem
