Default confused over exterenal reload problem

I've been reading old threads, but am still confused over this external reload problem.

It first effected me in a type IXb.
Three torps moved from external to internal then as i tried to move the 4th the first started loading in the tube-tube 2 for some reason.
Anyway i ended up with the last front external torpedo showing twice in the internal reserve compartments-yes it multiplied! i was happy!
Until i realized that i couldn't move it to a tube at all. Well I figure i can write this one off as my crew getting tired and damageing the torpedo or something like that.
But I do want to fix my game for the future...
1st: ARe the number of torpedoes correct for the IX boats?
2nd: Did my procedures cause the problem ie will moving 1 torp to internal reserve then to a tube before trying to move another torp eliminate this problem?
3rd: Do these problems always happen or just somtimes?
4th: How do i fix it? ( I've found a pack that fixes issues with the IXD2 but does it fox the other boats as well?

Thank you for your patience,

1. I think that they are modelled coreectly, re the # of torpedos

2. I have read that in case you have problems, try loading one by one

3. This is up to you to tell us. Has this occured again? If yes, go to step 2

4. My fix takes care of issues only for the IDX/2. I do not recall any other similar fix for other IX boats, but that could be arranged.

Are you using patch 1.4? Any mods?

make sure your surface running, for your crew have to move on the outside of the u-boat to reload the external torps, if your submerged tell them not to open the bloody external hatch till you have surfaced
