Sounds like you've played SH3 enough to know how things work.

Only thing I can think of; there's not enough crew in the diesel compartment to start/run the engines.

Or, sometimes Sh3 has a type of delay, after issuing a throttle-command. Might try upping time-compression, then hit the throttle. Or maybe the sub is damaged(?).

I've never heard of this type of problem before.

Oh other thing, if you're in a sub-pen, bigger subs get 'stuck' in them, unless the proper mod(s) is applied. A fix for that is here:

STAVINSKY'S SUB-PEN MOD

SUB-PEN MOD: FIX SO IX AND BIGGER SUBS DON'T GET STUCK IN PENS, AT:

If you DL this, just copy/paste the text displayed with your browser, save as "Campaign_LND.mis" and copy-over your old campaign_LND.mis file.

Default leaving

Why leave. As soon as you hit open water an airplane will sink you anyway.

Does a message "cannot comply" appear? If yes, search for an old similar post (resolved).

I suspect a crew fatigue system. Change from SH3crd to "no fatigue", delete any [compartment] references to /sf3cdr/cfg/Medals and renown.cfg. Backup first Medals and renown.cfg.

He has the type IX stuck in the wall at Bordeaux problem. Look for a mod called IX-D2 Range and Torpedo Fix v1 and fix all 5 problems with the IX-D2 sub with one mod.

Default where

So, where was the fix?

It would be nice if someone would let us know when they find something that fixed the problem!

Raymond,

Here's the link:

http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=48560

You can also try the search function to find solutions only for the Bordeaux problem. BTW, this was resolved with Harbour Traffic.

Thank God we have such good Modders for this Game. The IXD2 problem should have been fixed with a patch long ago. Keep up the good work.
