Default Lorient ctd

Some 30-40km off Lorient while returning, game crashes.

Any ideas how to fix it?

Magic teleport for this one patrol?

If your at 100%, start a single mission, adjust the realism to something else high, then start that mission. Reload the career patrol, it "should" allow you to magic teleport back. Or so I recall reading from here once upon a time.

If that doesnt work, try heading out for another 12 hours or so. Try to change the variables of your CTD.

Thanks.

Return to port save didn't fail and U-139 was welcome to dock at Brest. Lorient isn't anyway my port because I prefer types II and VII over IX.
Just seems odd. Why Lorient?

I had the exhaust and wake mod, which for some reason hated Lorient. I couldn't start a patrol or come within 30 km.

That's interesting, I used the same mod and didn't CTD at Lorient but the game would slow down to a near-dead crawl and freeze up for brief periods whenever I was going in and out of there.

I thought it had something to do with using the French bases, I don't know why - I guess I expected them to be more "intense" resource-wise because of the bunkers or the constant RAF bombing damage I always saw. But I never got around to using any of the other French bases, so maybe it was just Lorient. Any ideas why that mod in particular would cause a problem? Did the issue go away when you weren't using it?

I don't use the exhaust and wake mod.

Although close to "legal" 25km teleport area near St Nazaire and Brest my game also manifests similar symptoms as Frau Kaleun's.
