Promotions/Medal while being transfered?

I run the game with patch 1.4b, RUB 1.5 and harbor traffic mod for RUB, and now that i'm at the end of 1940 i'm being transfered (2nd flotilla) from Wilelmshaven to Lorient.
The problem is that when i came back from my last patrol and docked at wilelmshaven i got the transfer order and i couldn't select the option to promote or award medals to my crew, even if in patrol log it was stated they earned both (it was quite a good 85k patrol too).
Probably that's because wilelmshaven is no more flagged as my home base (this happens when i dock at a milk cow as well, and that's why i don't use them if i can avoid it..), but i would hate to waste them..
Is there a workaround about this, to be able to award them anyway, or i have to consider them lost and sail on?
