When large numbers of positrons and antielectrons collide, the primary product is an invisible but extremely dangerous burst of gamma radiation. This can kill a large number of soldiers without touching the civilian population.
they need to engineer those soldiers to be more gamma resistant, like the civilians.

caspofungin, I believe you've misunderstood. You see, the reason it'll only hurt the soldiers is that the gamma particles (photons) are intelligent and spare the civilians.

Seriously, the article is rather crappish.
While the theory about anti-matter is well known, and some anti-atoms have been created, we're still years from making quantities large enough for a bomb, let alone methods to keep them stable until detonation.

And the antimatter research is for now left to scientific institutes rather than military researchers. (Although militaries are interested in the research done.)

All this money to build new advanced anti-matter bombs and the AK-47 just keeps going and going and going...

Mr President we found out why your phone can not connect to your buddy Tony Blair. We think we blew him up by accident.

Hmmm, crapply written article.
To many generalisations not enough specifics. Seems like it was written by a 14 year old.
