Hallo DerKaleun,

I believe most folks determine their positions using the Kriegsmarine Planquadrat grids then use this program to convert to lat/long:

cheers,

Well thanks for the link to the cool tool, but it doesn´t solve my problem. I mark my sinkings right now on the google earth map, and therefore I try to figure out how the get my actual sub position in the game most exactly. It´s not possible to do perfekt position matches by eye only.

When we do a save game, is the sub position somewhere in one of the save files?

I'm sure our positions are annotated somewhere in the "code", but, alas, none have entered that realm except the devs...<shrugging shoulders>

As you probably know, the chart is a poor version of Mercatur Projection; however, you can connect the hacture marks (alternating black and white) around the perimeter of the chart, then use ratio/proportion to determine Lat/Long. I've tried it. It works but is tedious as all heck.

all the best,
