Orion's radar seems to give false radar contacts with 1.03. They occur quite often (every 3rd sweep or so) and they last only 1 sweep. However autocrew marks them as real, so after while you are just crowded with false contacts. Well the trick is not to use the radar too much, just make few sweeps and switch it off. But it's strange. Either it is bug, or it is intended. If it is intended, the autocrew should be able to sort them out.

Depends, how do you know a return is false until you fly over it and nothing is there.
I personally haven't seen this problem but will have to check tonight. |

Even without 'show truth' I know they are false bacuase the false contacts are there only for 1 antena sweep.

Sometimes, especially in dense environment, you could have false radar contacts.
If you have ANY suspicion about a contact, just drop it. If it's a real contact, he will come back quickly. If it's a false contact, he won't. |

I checked last night (DW orignal patched to 1.03) with a simple mission - Orion, fishing boat and sea state 5. I selected this sea state as I believed it may have been the waves that caused the false contacts but I experienced no false contacts. I tried different altitudes and had radar autocrew on. Sorry I can't confirm this problem.

Mine occured in mission Liberian Liberation. I will test more. Maybe it can be altitude or speed dependent. I had ECM and video sensors on. All autocrew on.
