Join the club. IMO the U Boat radar as delivered in the game is nearly worthless, on the other hand I believe the radar warning capability is worth its weight in gold. Personally I think the radar in SH2 was far superior both in clarity and tunability.

Redwine, i think (havent tested) if you bind a key to this command
located in commands_en.cfg or command_de.cfg [Cmd144] Name=Radar_toggle_range Ctxt=1 you got what you want cheers Noline |

The radar in this game is a @#$% ![]() I remember in SH2 i was able to sink ships in middle of the fog, aiming them with may deck gun using my radar bearing and range information ![]() ![]() Quote:

Redwine, I think if you are looking at the radar screen the toggle on the lower right flips left/right. I believe this is the range scale. the one above controls the sweep. Other than that I'm clueless as I have learned never to use because it's nearly worthless.

Hi Redwine,
The range scale is visible on my radar, not sure why yours is missing...By default the range is set to the lower scale. It took a few seconds for me to understand it but if the switch points to the left then it is using the scale on left side of the screen (short) and if it points to the right it uses the scale of the right side of the screen (long). Also the scale on the screen uses a X1000m value, so if the spike is at 5 its 5000m, etc. I know this does you no good since you can't get the switch to appear. Could you be more specific as to what radar and uboat model you are using..maybe I could test it out on a single mission to confirm it? -CA Edit: Now that I think about it I think the scale is X100m, I have to check...I only started playing SH3 again a couple of days ago. Also, did you make any changes to your sensors.dat file?...maybe someting there screwed it up? |
