Default Starting off on a patrol - and I see this...

I was starting off on a patrol from Wilhelmshaven and while lookig at the navmap I notice two planes circling not too far ahead of the port. I went to the bridge and scanned the sky with my binos, but I saw nothing... then I noticed these two violent explosions just blasting away from the waters surface continuously ahead of the boat...

I'm running number of mods including IUB and the SH3Gen beta among others... never saw this before though.

I'm currently on my 9th patrol and the last couple of times leaving Wilhelmshafen, I've seen a ship off to port which had driven itself aground on the shoreline. First it was a Type 34 destroyer, most recently, its been a passenger liner! Each time, the ship grounds, it explodes.

Anyone else found this?

A bit off-topic (apologies of that), but which modgives you that large number of ships in harbour when starting mission? I have the RUB and there is always just a single armed travler when I start a mission...

I'm running the excellent Improved U-Boat. BTW, I'm using Kiel as homebase at the moment, not Wilhelmshafen. Sorry.

Sunday Driver.....

the destroyer is hitting a mine field.....its just a waypoint that is off that needs editing.....he is driving too close to shore where the mine field is.....he would clear it if there weren't friendly mines.....if you zoom over and down in free cam you should see the mines in that area.....I'm sure his waypoint can be fixed....so he stays closer to main channel and away from the minefield.....I guess he is just setting example of what not to do......my guess is he is an enemy commando team that does't have the proper maps...a true german would have the mines mapped when entering port....he is up to no good.....I say let him sink.....

It's funny, I've been using HT 1.47 for quite some time, and the only time I've ever seen any ships crash was if I saved while in the harbor and reloaded later. Interesting...

That'll do it. Also if you get close enough to a ship it will undertake evasive action which may see it end up anywhere....even on land!
