in SH3 are there any other subs in the water at the same time that you are, and can you battle against any in any single missions/campainge? pls respond

No and no.

However, some mods add other uboats, but they are only in ports.

Sergbuto made a AI U-boat mod available on his site.

He also made an entirely new S class sub model for the Allies (US and UK) - but it needs to incorporated into the campaign manually I think. There is a Balao class US sub under construction as well. :hmm:

These AI subs are used both in the Harbor Traffic mod and U-boat War Ace (Wolfpack) mod-campaign. In the latter, one can find some AI subs attacking Allied shipping.

Not really!

U-Boat War Ace Campaign also includes patroling U-Boats and wolfpack attacks. at least the version i have on my desk right now.. it will be released soon if i get my new Scharnhorst.
