Transfers ???

A question:

I am on my first career (Flotilla 1) and I have a question on transfers. When requesting a transfering to another Flotilla, does:
1. the existing sub, crew and Captain transfer,
2. the crew and Captain transfer
3. just the Captain transfer

I just aquired a new sub, upgraded it and I would hate to lose it if I requested a transfer to a different Flotilla such as Flotilla 2.

Also, once you transfer to get a better boat, you have to do 4 patrols before you can transfer back (you keep your boat)

I'm currently in the 1st Flotilla (Kiel, 2/1941) and just upgraded to a Type IID from a Type IIA, plus I had enough points to upgrade the IID too (I'm trying to see how long I can survive in a Type II in this career).

As a result, since the game has started assigning me grids SW of Britain versus the grids to the NE of Britain, I would like to transfer my IID to the French coast so I do not have to run the English Channel and almost die by mines like my last patrol.

My question is:
With this in mind and using SH3Cmdr 2.4, RUB 1.45 & HT 1.47, do I have to transfer to another Flotilla to get the the French coast or can I get the game to transfer us (sub, crew and me) to Brest since the 1st Flotilla started operating out of Brest 8/1940 ???

Yes, when the first flottila transfers to Brest you go along with it.

Good luck with your IID quest, I recently survived the war in one . I love that little boat.
