Default Make SH3 to run faster

Hi all,

I was browsing ubi.com forums and i found few applications that can improve the performance of your machine and speed up SHIII a bit.

FSAutoStart
http://www.kensalter.com/fsautostart/index.htm

"FSAutoStart allows the user the ability to automatically shutdown services and programs to provide as much resources to running today’s most demanding applications. It also provides the ability to launch selected programs before the application is launched. Lastly, it can automatically restart those programs and services previously shutdown, thus bringing the computer back to its original state. It also adds some performance enhancing options like Defragment Memory."(from the redme file)

Also I forgot to add that you can change the priority of SH3 from normal to high status by pressing Alt+Ctrl+Delete, Processes tab right click on the SH3.exe/Set Priority. To allow the game to dip in to more processor resources.

Here is the link that will help you configure the FSAutoStart. It contains list of all(I think) services that are running on Windos XP which can be turned off in order to gain more resources to speed up your game.

Check the website for more info about DirectX Tweaker.

I did not see any thread that has any of those programs mentioned(i might have missed it) I hope that it will be useful for all of the SHIII skippers.

Cheers and enjoy.

No need for such tinkering. Got some power under the hood...

Many thanks for the info about this program , I use Security Task Manager and CProcess in adition to End It All to close undesired programs and process, but this program sound to be very useful and nice...... sadly there is no download link at that place, you are redirected to another places where you need to register.

Can you upload the program at rapidshare if not ilegal ?

Hmm... :hmm: I’m using that program and it works fine on my machine. You shouldn’t worry about it because the program does not make any permanent changes to the system. Every time you restart your computer all services return to the original settings.
