Hi All,
While working on my torpedo training I had sunk one or two cs and was following the remaining ships. I used the birds eye to have a look around and discovered there was a british escort shelling an american cs and escort. Why would this happen? Thanks, Rick |

This is unfortunately a "bug" in SH3.

Yes. You will also later notice that if you are discovered, and there is another ship between you and the one that discovered you the one that discovered you will shoot at you even when the other ship is between you.

Yeah, I was doing some more 'academy' training a while back. Somehow, one of the escorts got after me for a bit but was distracted by yet another escort - and the fight was on. I just stood there on my bridge and watched the one escort shelling the hell out of the other one, who was actually outrunning the 'sheller', slowly but surely. What a crack-up.
I just hit [Escape] and moved on. :rotfl:

The game is set up to make you more careful; if you sink a neutral or friendly ship you will find that your own side treats you as an enemy for 24 hours. Unfortunately this also works for AI ships, so sometimes you end up witnessing some interesting firefights.

... The good news is that it doesn't happen too often.
